HOSPICE HOUSE
Home Hospice at the Hospice House provides end of life care to hospice patients around the Permian Basin. This care includes the patient's family, who are often exhausted, too. Patients come here in their last days or even hours. They may have pain or symptoms such as nausea/vomiting, shortness of breath, or agitation which cannot be adequately controlled at home, in a long term care setting, or even in a hospital setting.

Many families make the choice of the Hospice House for the peace of mind, dignity, and specialized care an inpatient hospice offers.

The skilled physicians and nurses of Home Hospice employed at the Hospice House are highly trained in symptom management and all aspects of end of life care, including the special needs of children who face life threatening illness.

The Hospice House has a Ronald McDonald House-like feel, so the the families of patients from out of town can stay free of charge in their own private suite. Hospice House care is not just about the patient, it is also about their loved ones. The experienced and loving staff at the Hospice House provides support and comfort to the patients' families and friends, too. There are also places throughout Hospice House where the patient's loved ones can retreat to be alone, to reflect, to pray, or to come
together for laughter and for tears. The Hospice House also has frank and open literature available that discusses and explains the dying process, death, and the grief that will certainly follow afterwards. The Hospice House is not just about the patients, it is about those who love them, for they are at the point where they need care and love, too.

The Hospice House is more like a home than an institutional medical facility. It has a warm, loving environment. The Hospice House is home, when people can't be in their own. It is a place of grace where people are truly loved until God sees fit to call them home.
